一 |     New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) The Delhi Commission for Women Wednesday issued a notice to SSP Ghaziabad over the incident of alleged gangrape with a 38-year-old woman in Ghaziabad.

DCW Chief Swati Maliwal has issued a notice to SSP Ghaziabad in the matter and has sought an action taken report. The Commission has sought the copy of FIR along with details of arrests made in the matter, DCW in a statement stated.

The Commission received information about an alleged brutal gangrape with a woman in Ghaziabad. The victim who lives in Delhi's Nand Nagari area, had gone to Ghaziabad to participate in her brother’s birthday celebration on October 16. When she was returning at night, while waiting for an auto, four people allegedly kidnapped her in a car and took her to an unknown location, where one more person was present, the statement stated.

They allegedly gang raped her and continued to rape and torture her for two days. They even inserted an iron rod inside her private parts. Thereafter, they hid her in a jute bag, tied up her arms and legs and threw her out on a road, it stated.

The woman was found in a very serious condition in a pool of blood, with the iron rod still inside her! The woman is presently admitted in a hospital in Delhi in a very critical condition, it added.

Maliwal said, “A woman was kidnapped and gangraped brutally. A rod was inserted inside her, which was still stuck when she was found in a pool of blood. The woman is admitted to a hospital in critical condition."

UNI CM SHK1750。    Veteran actor Dharmendra passed away yesterday shortly before his 90th birthday. His demise has left the industry in grief, and the next month will be dedicated to honouring his remarkable legacy. December 8 will mark Dharmendra's 90th birth anniversary, followed by the re-release of his iconic film Sholay on December 12. Also, his final film, Sriram Raghavan's historical military drama Ikkis, is set for release on Christmas.           Pooja Ladha Surti, the film's editor and co-writer, has discussed how Sriram Raghavan and Dinesh Vijan plan to pay tribute to Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema's greatest legends. In a conversation with SCREEN, Pooja Ladha Surti shared, “Yes, I am sure Sriram and Dinoo (Dinesh Vijan, producer) will do that. His final performance will speak more than any tribute from us, I feel.”          Talking about Dharmendra, she added, “I am so saddened that he left us before Ikkis’ release. He would have been thrilled. What a tremendous actor Dharam ji was, a superstar for the ages. And an amazing person, full of grace, warmth, enthusiasm, and a generosity of spirit that was singular, extraordinary.”           Pooja continued by sharing that the late actor appeared somewhat frail on the sets of Ikkis but became quite energetic once filming began. She mentioned that Dharmendra was always very cooperative when asked to do retakes. She shared, “He would happily shoot as many takes as required. For someone as experienced as him, he would be as eager or even more eager than newbies. I have seen this in Ikkis and even in Johnny Gaddaar.”           Ikkis will release in theatres on December 25. In the film, Dharmendra plays the father of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the 21-year-old soldier who became one of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipients after his extraordinary bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film also stars Agastya Nanda in the lead role. Also Read: Dharmendra’s Poster From Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis Is Phenomenal。
